Suicide stalls railway travel on Taft Avenue
A man jumped to his death from the top of a 26-floor building yesterday early evening, landing on the tracks of Light Rail Transit 1 near the Vito Cruz Station.
Police said Paulo Javier, 20, a student of AMA College, leaped from Catle building 6:15 p.m., stopping north- and southbound trips, stranding thousands of commuters.
“It was compounded by the slow response of the Soco,” said LRT Administrator Mel Robles, referring to the scene of crime operatives, who did a detailed investigation, unmindful of the stalled train coaches filled with passengers who were rushing home.
Chief Insp. Alejandro Yanquiling, Manila Police Homicide chief, said Javier was with her girlfriend Stacy Ann Ibay, a San Beda student, when he decided to take his life over a domestic problem.
The couple’s families did not approve of their relationship, he added.
“Ibay recounted that [when] she was not able to convince her boyfriend not to jump she tried to call for help, particularly the guards on duty,” said Yanquiling, noting that the man had leaned over the edge when they came.
Investigators said the suicide reeked of liquor even as they were still verifying how the pair managed to slip into the high-rise and reach the roof deck.

FEBRUARY
*First time kong magsalita sa P.A system ng Albertus Magnus Bldg. Pinromote ko kase yung International Tour pati yung exhibit ng batch namen (nung tuesday). Ayus nga eh.. kasama ako sa room to room para ipromote yun, nag-public announcement ako para sa tour na yun, atchaka ako yung gumawa ng tarpaulin na ippost sa uste pati narin yung dadalin nila sa China.. pero ang masaya dun hindi ako sasama sa tour. Hahaha! pero in fairness ansaya pala magsalita sa P.A system :-D
At bakit naman hindi ako sasama sa tour? 4 days lang sila dun and my gulay ang mahal nya boi.. 48,000 (yata) tapos apat na araw.. anu yun?? basta 40+ libo. Eh samantalang last sem 30+ thousand lang. Nagpabili nalang ako sa erpats ko ng kung anu anong bagay pampalubag loob habang nagtotour sila hehe.
*I gained 10 pounds. crap. Di na kasi ako nagggym eh. Walang time. Pero hah! pag dumating yung summer humanda sakin yang mga bilbil na yan hahahaha!!!! Pero sabi ni Renee magsisimula na daw kaming magpracticum sa summer.. ?!.. oo gusto ko magpracticum para mawala nako sa uste pero wag naman ganun kaaga..

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Tangna. hnlaki ng problema ko. Nakuha ko na yung results ng preliminary grade ko sa Galileo and i must say, eto na yata ang piiiinakamababang grade na nakuha ko sa tanang buhay ko. Ang malupet pa dun, 3 hrs nalang FA nako (FA = failure due to absences) oh my.. know what? i feel crappy right now. Grabe ngayon ko lang naramdaman yung lungkot pag-uwi ko ng bahay!!!

HAPPY VDAY EVERYONE!
amp. kanina sa french class nagalit sakin si monsieur. kase hindi ko nasagot yung tanong nya kung "anong meron nung epiphany" alangya nagalit sya.. malay ko ba na yun pala yung tanong nya. sinabi ko nalang "je ne sais pas" (i dont know) kase di ko sya naintindihan. sabi pa nya nun "je ne sais pas?! sometimes i dont know if youre really a christian.. you dont know what epiphany is?!" tapos after ng klase napagalitan nanaman ako kase tinignan ko yung seatplan nya dun kase nakasulat kung naka-ilang lates nako.. ayun. boom. nagalit ulit haha. ayun napaheart-to-heart talk tuloy kami..
sinundo ako kanina ni alex sa school tapos pumunta kami sa Napoli's (Tomas Morato). Suki na nga kami dun eh! kasi tuwing may espesyal na araw sa buhay namen dun kami parati kumakain. masarap dun. try mo. so yun nga, pagkatapos namin kumain hinatid nya ko sa bahay.. naglakad kami pauwi. corni magjeep eh. gusto ko pa kasi syang makasama ng matagal.
masaya naman ang valentine's day kase kasama ko si alex at hindi kami nagkatampuhan kanina :-D
btw, isa ako sa limang magu-usher sa Thomasian Personality sa friday.. nood kayo ha! hehe!
